Following the first proposal presentation, we decided to re-group and came up with a few changes:
Rather than focusing on Movies as our medium, we decided to focus on our National Identities directly.

Exploration 01: Images
We aimed to combine and blur several elements. Therefore, from an imaging perspective, we decided to
merge an AI method with photography. The flags of each nation were our main emphasis, but we also wanted
to create whole new graphics, so we fed the keyboards into an AI generator, as seen above.
However, after consulting, one comment given was that if there were still three separate flags, it wasn't
really
mingling. We therefore went to the AI and attempted to feed it with the word
"[IndonesiaSingaporeSouthKorea National Flag]" in order to build a new image, and this is what we
received.
Nightcafe.studio is used to produce these images.
Exploration 02: Audio
We initially considered using the movie audios for noises. We ultimately chose to combine the National
Anthem audios because we wanted to concentrate on ourselves (and didn't want to record our own voices).
In
the beginning, we extracted the audio from each song and created visual soundwaves of each anthem, but we
were unable to put them to use.
The audios were then combined using an AI music mixer, Rave.dj to create a visualiser that utilised the music that
was created. We had to mix two songs first before adding the final audio because the online mixer would
only accept two music links to be mixed at once.
Because only YouTube URLs could be utilised for mixing, the video graphics were also included in the mix.
The final music video mix that we got from the mixer is listed below. However, we decided against using
this film for the artefact because it was overcrowded and would make the movie look very unkempt in
addition to the fact that the country flags were quite evident.
The audio from the video was then used to react to a Music Visualiser, created using Adobe Aftereffects.

Exploration 03: Text
Following the notion of using the National Anthem, we decided to use the words from the National Anthem
because we both learned them as children and took pride in them. The concept was to create a universal
language using the national anthems of other languages.
Firstly, we created our own version of Colour Alphabets following the notion of Christian Faur. We turned the latin alphabets into gave
them corresponding colours. We maintained this experiment and utilised it in general sections, replacing
latin alphabets with glyphs since we thought this method of using colours to generalise the language was
fascinating (such as introduction, etc).
One initial experimentation we also tried using was Morse Codes to convert individuals National
Pledges.
One thing we discovered while doing this was that South Korea has its own morse coding system. As a
result, we had to talk about how to make our morse codes more uniform. As a result, we did not continue
with this experiment and continued searching for other methods.
This experimentation was done before we decided to change our text approach to National Anthem lyrics.
The last experiment we conducted was layering the original alphabets on top of one another, which is similar to mixing/blending.
This concept struck us at a consultation when it was suggested that since we already decided to combine everything, why not try mixing this as well? As a result, we experimented and came up with this.
We attempted to stack the lyrics from the national anthem on top of one another (like layering over each other).
